Life moves on! I've been missing in action for about the last 3 weeks due to preparation and stress for the assessment test. Today was the day and I"m glad it's over...Haven't been able to do anything for the last 3 weeks...Now it's time to get back into the swing of and enjoy life....

Pepsiman says it's been 2 weeks since I wrote an entry and called me a slacker. Know what, he was right! I been VERY VERY VERY busy. Getting the pool project done has been hair pulling. PG&E initially did not install the heating right the first time but they came through in the end to make it right. However my water heater pilot light keeps going out, so I gotta get them back to tweak it.

The girls birthday party went good. Course of all the days it picked to be a cloudy overcast day, it had to be the 15th...The following days afterwards, nice and sunny! ARGH! We did enjoy the pool today and hope to share it with everyone.

I've started painting my Warhammer 40K miniatures. Pics to come soon and stories about painting and buying stuff at Games Workshop stores to come.

Course I'll be busy studying for a promotional assessment.......

With the elections coming up, now comes the barrage of automated phone calls...Bill Clinton called me the other day...woke me up...hate those things....

I get a bill from AT&T for $5.75 apparently for long distance charges. The .75 was for an accidental misdial by my in-law. The $5 is for a miniumum fee that they charge you now whether you use long distance or not. So I call AT&T and voice my opinion. The operator tells me that it's waived if I make 17 mins of long distance calls. I don't call anybody long distance out of state, that's what the cellphone is for. I tell them to cancel my long distance service and she tells me that it's a $3.75 fee to do so. What a load of shit! AT&T needs to come up with a better service plan to compete with the cell phones rather to stick it to their customer for chickenshit minimum fees......

Today was the retirement party for my co-worker, the JLC! He put in over 30 yrs of crime fighting! It was a great party...Enjoy the ride into the sunset and retirement!

Tues 09-26-06: The Earth Wind and Fire concert was awesome. I never went to concerts until I started working them for OT back at my state days. I stopped by tonight during my shift and was able to enjoy the show...Course the only bad thing was when they started singing "Reasons", security guys decide to bring a unruly drunk person to me to deal with. I had to escort him out and I missed the rest of the song...Argh! Later on, me and another shift partner got to give EWF an escort to the freeway....

Terrell Owens- You're all messed up...Who cares????

SF Giants- Another disappointing season...You had your chances and blew them big time. Bring Barry back, he has to break the record as a Giant.....

Pepsiman- Blowing the dust off the 40K stuff...StarForce is returning!

New Foods

Last night during the shift, my team had a BBQ. My co-worker, the great hunter and fisherman (he once caught a fish "this big") brought in some fresh kill that he had made into sausages. I had a venison (deer) one and a boar bratwurst. I must say they were quite tasty and different from the usual hotdogs and sausages I am accustomed to. So far my stomach has agreed.

Speaking of the shift, sometimes when I think that I can not meet or encounter someone more stupider than the one I just met, someone comes along and proves me wrong.....I was watching Ladder 49 on Sunday night and there was a question that John Travolta asked Joaquin Scott, "Do you still love the job?"

I thought about that and I still do. Though people are getting more stupider and full of drama, I still like my job.

Earth Wind and Fire is playing tonight (Tues) at Oak Meadow Park...Woo Hoo!
